Treatment:
No treatment is necessary in children with Flexible Flat Feet under the age of 3. Children of the age of 3 with no prominent arches, require arch supports (Orthotics). This arch support (Orthotics) will not correct or reverse the flat feet but will only be able to control it. The purpose of the arch support is to prevent the Flat Feet from getting worse. If the flat feet are causing any problems then wearing Orthotics will help to alleviate the pain. It is better to have custom made Orthotics because they are tailored to the specific type of your foot and your Podiatrist will be able to prescribe the appropriate Orthotics after a complete Biomechanical examination. (See Consultation page)
If the above symptoms persist then you need to:
-
Rest
-
